Sean M. Sanford was born in Grass Valley, California and currently lives in San Francisco. He teaches Creative Writing at San Francisco State University, where he’s currently getting his MFA. He writes fiction and music reviews for Lowcard magazine. He wrote fiction for the duration of the online periodical Defiant Scribe. He’s had fiction appear in The American Drivel Review. He’s had poetry, fiction, non-fiction, art and photography published in various issues of SFSU’s bi-annual periodical Transfer Magazine. He’s done speech/reading performances for Odd Salon. He’s written book and movie reviews for Horror DNA, and book reviews for Night Worms. He’s also had review work featured in Horror Oasis. He is co-founder and head writer for Rockward Silence, an online music magazine. He was given a guest-artist pro graphic for Party Animal Part Machine skateboards, celebrating his fiction prowess. He co-owns a store in San Francisco called Effin Relax with his wife Candice. They provide handmade relaxation essentials and use the space to hold poetry/fiction readings, playwright table reads, and art openings.
